On September 25th, Ahern took part in the “Los Pinos” Field Day, held at the renowned Rancho Los Pinos facilities in San QuintĂn, Baja California.
This event, which year after year brings together leading growers, technicians, advisors, and representatives from seed companies, holds a very special meaning for Ahern. For over 30 years, we have partnered with Rancho Los Pinos in organizing this gathering, strengthening a strategic alliance that has driven agricultural development throughout the region.
During the 2025 edition, the Field Day focused on showcasing new indeterminate Roma tomato varieties adapted to greenhouse conditions, as well as facilitating technical discussions on pest management —particularly thrips—, crop nutrition, and plant health.
The event featured the participation of leading seed companies such as Bayer, Enza Zaden, HM Clause, Syngenta, Hazera, Top Seeds, CapGen, Vilmorin, Yuksel, Gautier, and Fito —each presenting proposals that showcased the diversity and potential of the portfolio available to San QuintĂn’s growers.
Beyond the technical demonstrations, this event represents a long-standing tradition of collaboration that has strengthened the relationship between Ahern and Rancho Los Pinos.
For three decades, we have worked side by side as strategic partners, sharing the same commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the continuous improvement of horticultural production.
Thanks to this synergy, the “Los Pinos” Field Day has become one of the most anticipated technical gatherings in northwestern Mexico —a space where knowledge, experience, and technology come together to shape the future of tomato production in the region.
For Ahern, continuing to be part of this history is a source of pride and commitment. We will continue to strengthen this alliance of trust and results, bringing cutting-edge genetics, technical support and solutions adapted to the real needs of producers, reaffirming our vision of being the bridge between the field and agricultural innovation in Mexico.
