Responsibilities

• Help develop operational plans for the sales department.
• Manage all stages of the sales process, from prospecting to closing.
• Analyze markets and develop business strategies.
• Prepare sales forecasts.
• Monitor the customer portfolio and develop new leads.
• Maintain business relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Monitor the vegetable seed market to identify business opportunities.
• Follow up on complaints related to product quality.
• Support the preparation of sales operating budgets.
• Promote Ahern’s market position through new products.
• Provide information on sales projections and seed requirements.
• Stay up to date on market trends and communicate business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Previous sales experience (preferred).
• Experience in marketing horticultural seeds
• Experience in seed product development
• Experience in budget management and oversight.
• Understanding of how products are positioned relative to the competition.
• Ability to identify and recruit successful sales representatives.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in international sales of vegetable seeds to growers.
• Must be located in Texas

• Advanced English.
• Advanced Spanish.

• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom).
• Database management
• Electronic data handling

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
