Ahern and Los Pinos: More Than 45 Years of Building Knowledge in the Field

In 2026, Ahern and Rancho AgrĂcola Los Pinos will once again add a new chapter to a relationship spanning more than 45 years of collaboration, built on knowledge, trust, and a shared vision for advancing horticulture.

In San QuintĂn, growers, technicians, consultants, and seed companies are gathering once again to tour crops, learn about new options, and exchange experiences directly in the field. It is an event that, beyond simply showcasing new materials, provides a space to observe, discuss, and learn about the challenges facing agricultural production today.

This is what the 37th edition of this conference is like—an initiative that, year after year, brings together various industry stakeholders around a common goal: to generate knowledge that can be applied from the field to the decisions that drive each production cycle forward.

The Countryside as a Meeting Place

During the event, attendees have the opportunity to learn about different materials and observe how they perform firsthand under San Quintín’s production conditions. The tour allows participants to compare characteristics, share experiences, and hear firsthand perspectives from those who work in the field every day.

For Ahern, this exchange is an essential part of building relationships with growers and industry partners. The experience gained in the field provides a better understanding of the challenges, helps identify new opportunities, and fosters an ongoing dialogue about what growers need.

A relationship that continues to grow

The history between Ahern and Rancho AgrĂcola Los Pinos spans more than four decades. Over this time, the relationship has evolved alongside the needs of agriculture and the changes that horticulture has undergone.

This field day is a testament to that bond and to the importance of creating spaces where growers, specialists, and genetic companies can come together to share knowledge and real-world experiences.

Issue #37 thus represents much more than just a day spent touring farms. It is the continuation of a relationship that has found in the countryside a space to learn from one another, evaluate new alternatives, and keep our focus on the needs of the next generation of farmers.

In San QuintĂn, knowledge meets the countryside once again. And, after more than 45 years, Ahern and Los Pinos continue to write this chapter together.
