Position: Product Development Engineer (Agri-Food Sector)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct sowing and planting trials for new hybrid vegetable seed varieties.
Evaluate and select new seed varieties that meet the phenological, organoleptic, and disease-resistance requirements of each region.
Promote selected varieties in each market through technical research and field validation.
Generate and deliver clear, accurate trial reports to management.
Provide technical support to customers, offering expert knowledge of our seed products.
Assist the sales team with follow-up on any quality complaints related to delivered seeds.
Deliver the upcoming trial program at least one month before a new production cycle, including estimated seed requirements.
Support Business Unit Managers and Sales Representatives by providing regular updates on the status and progress of trials in their region. Reports must include real, objective data.
Inform the Product Development Administration Management of any seed samples or trial varieties requested or received directly from suppliers.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience in:
Preparing statistical presentations and reports.
Data analysis and statistical interpretation.
Marketing and commercialization of vegetable seeds.
Development of vegetable seed varieties.
Budget control and project management.
Database handling.
Open-field and protected crop production.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel frequently. Coverage area includes Puebla, State of Mexico, Morelos, Tlaxcala, and Veracruz.
Basic English proficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Administrative areas, International Relations, or related fields
3-5 years as a Customer Service Representative
1-2 years in a Senior Customer Service role
Experience in serving internal and external customers
Experience in resolving complex problems and managing key accounts, strategic clients, and internal customer support
Preferred experience in FMCG, retail, agribusiness, and logistics
Intermediate English
KNOWLEDGE:
Processes related to credit notes, invoicing, returns, or logistics
SAP
Preferably Salesforce or another CRM
ACTIVITIES:
Provide specialized support and attention to internal and external customers, resolving requests and issues effectively and promptly
Ensure high levels of customer/salesperson satisfaction through proactive solutions and assertive communication
Address and resolve complex inquiries or requests from assigned salespeople, focusing on the experience
Carry out order placement, invoicing, credit notes, and complete follow-up until closure
Support the commercial team with fast and accurate reports containing updated information
Follow up on escalated cases, ensuring effective closure and clear communication
Identify opportunities for improvement in customer service processes and propose initiatives
Handle order processing, invoicing, credit note follow-ups, payment applications, returns, and other sales process activities
Generate and analyze service KPI reports, proposing corrective or preventive actions (seed purchases for quarterly plan and open orders)
Collaborate with other areas (logistics, purchasing, C&C, planning, etc.) to solve situations comprehensively

Propose and analyze adjustments and changes in demand considering supply lead times, inventory levels, and operations

Requirements:

Provide advice on computer, server, or security-related software configuration and usage
Install software
Diagnose failures and errors, repair or escalate for external repair
Configure equipment for new hires at Ahern
Administer Fortinet solutions (firewalls, switches EMS, AP)
Install and inspect network installations, assist users with network operation
Perform data and program backups (PCs, laptops, virtual machines)
Create and manage virtual machines
Manage access to IT-managed information assets and other privileges
